Privacy Policy

A plain-English overview of the information Tavero uses to connect customers with cafes and help cafe teams operate safely.

What Tavero is

Tavero is a cafe marketplace, QR ordering, reservation-request, and cafe operations platform. This policy explains the information used to provide Tavero during its V1 launch.

Information we collect

  • Cafe owner and staff details such as name, email, phone number, role, account credentials, and cafe membership.
  • Cafe profile information, menus, locations, operating details, logos, food photos, and gallery images uploaded by cafe teams.
  • Customer contact details, selected table, order items, special instructions, reservation date, party size, occasion, and reservation requests when those features are used.
  • Operational records such as order status, reservation status, timestamps, audit events, and basic technical logs needed for security and reliability.

How information is used

  • To show approved cafes and their public information in the marketplace.
  • To route QR orders and reservation requests to the correct cafe and table.
  • To let authorised cafe teams manage menus, orders, reservations, images, and analytics.
  • To secure accounts, investigate misuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve Tavero.
  • To respond to support, privacy, correction, and deletion requests.

Service providers

Tavero relies on carefully selected infrastructure providers to operate the service. Information may be processed by these providers only as needed for their role.

  • Vercel for frontend hosting and delivery.
  • Railway for backend application and PostgreSQL database hosting.
  • Cloudinary for cafe and menu image storage and delivery.
  • Google Maps links or embeds when a customer views cafe location information.

Protection and retention

Tavero uses access controls, authenticated owner/admin routes, server-side validation, and infrastructure security controls. No internet service can promise absolute security. Information is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legitimate operational or legal needs, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.

Your choices and deletion requests

Cafe owners, staff, and customers may contact Tavero to ask about their information or request correction or deletion. Tavero may need enough information to verify the request and may retain limited records when legally or operationally required. Email support@tavero.in with the subject “Privacy request” and identify the cafe, order, or reservation involved without sending passwords.

Launch scope and updates

Tavero does not process online payments in V1. This policy is a first version and may be updated as Tavero grows. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
